  1 H376 אישׁ a man H1961 היה There was H776 בארץ in the land H5780 עוץ of Uz, H347 איוב Job; H8034 שׁמו whose name H1961 והיה was H376 האישׁ man H1931 ההוא and that H8535 תם perfect H3477 וישׁר and upright, H3373 וירא and one that feared H430 אלהים God, H5493 וסר and eschewed H7451 מרע׃ evil.

  2 H3205 ויולדו And there were born H7651 לו שׁבעה unto him seven H1121 בנים sons H7969 ושׁלושׁ and three H1323 בנות׃ daughters.

  28 H1961 והיה And it shall come to pass, H834 כאשׁר like as H8245 שׁקדתי I have watched H5921 עליהם over H5428 לנתושׁ them, to pluck up, H5422 ולנתוץ and to break down, H2040 ולהרס and to throw down, H6 ולהאביד and to destroy, H7489 ולהרע and to afflict; H3651 כן so H8245 אשׁקד will I watch H5921 עליהם over H1129 לבנות them, to build, H5193 ולנטוע and to plant, H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

  9 H216 אור The light H6662 צדיקים of the righteous H8055 ישׂמח rejoiceth: H5216 ונר but the lamp H7563 רשׁעים of the wicked H1846 ידעך׃ shall be put out.

  20 H7043 מקלל Whoso curseth H1 אביו his father H517 ואמו or his mother, H1846 ידעך shall be put out H5216 נרו his lamp H380 באישׁון in obscure H2822 חשׁך׃ darkness.

H3584 ויכחשׁו shall be found liars H341 איביך and thine enemies H859 לך ואתה unto thee; and thou H5921 על upon H1116 במותימו their high places. H1869 תדרך׃ shalt tread

  9 H3808 הלוא Have not H6680 צויתיך I commanded H2388 חזק thee?   16 H398 ויאכילהו He should have fed H2459 מחלב them also with the finest H2406 חטה of the wheat: H6697 ומצור out of the rock H1706 דבשׁ and with honey H7646 אשׂביעך׃ should I have satisfied

  18 H8199 שׁפטים Judges H7860 ושׁטרים and officers H5414 תתן shalt thou make H3605 לך בכל thee in all H8179 שׁעריך thy gates, H834 אשׁר which H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H5414 נתן giveth H7626 לך לשׁבטיך thee, throughout thy tribes: H8199 ושׁפטו and they shall judge H853 את   H5971 העם the people H4941 משׁפט judgment.   1 H1162 ובעז of whom Boaz H5927 עלה   H8179 השׁער to the gate, H3427 וישׁב and sat him down H8033 שׁם there: H2009 והנה and, behold, H1350 הגאל the kinsman H5674 עבר came by; H834 אשׁר unto whom H1696 דבר spoke H1162 בעז   H559 ויאמר he said, H5493 סורה turn aside, H3427 שׁבה sit down H6311 פה here.   31 H5850 עטרת head a crown H8597 תפארת of glory, H7872 שׂיבה The hoary H1870 בדרך in the way H6666 צדקה of righteousness. H4672 תמצא׃ it be found

  8 H4428 מלך A king H3427 יושׁב that sitteth H5921 על in H3678 כסא the throne H1779 דין of judgment H2219 מזרה scattereth away H5869 בעיניו with his eyes. H3605 כל all H7451 רע׃ evil

  19 H559 ויאמרו And they said H2790 לו החרשׁ unto him, Hold thy peace, H7760 שׂים lay H3027 ידך thine hand H5921 על upon H6310 פיך thy mouth, H1980 ולך and go H5973 עמנו with H1961 והיה us, and be H1 לנו לאב to us a father H3548 ולכהן and a priest: H2896 הטוב better H1961 היותך for thee to be H3548 כהן a priest H1004 לבית unto the house H376 אישׁ man, H259 אחד of one H176 או or H1961 היותך that thou be H3548 כהן a priest H7626 לשׁבט unto a tribe H4940 ולמשׁפחה and a family H3478 בישׂראל׃ in Israel?

  2 H5254 הנסה   H1697 דבר   H413 אליך with H3811 תלאה thee, wilt thou be grieved? H6113 ועצר withhold H4405 במלין himself from speaking? H4310 מי but who H3201 יוכל׃ can

  11 H1571 גם Therefore H589 אני I H3808 לא will not H2820 אחשׂך refrain H6310 פי my mouth; H1696 אדברה I will speak H6862 בצר in the anguish H7307 רוחי of my spirit; H7878 אשׂיחה I will complain H4751 במר in the bitterness H5315 נפשׁי׃ of my soul.

  5 H6437 פנו   H413 אלי   H8074 והשׁמו me, and be astonished, H7760 ושׂימו and lay H3027 יד hand H5921 על upon H6310 פה׃ mouth.

  4 H2005 הן Behold, H7043 קלתי I am vile; H4100 מה what H7725 אשׁיבך shall I answer H3027 ידי mine hand H7760 שׂמתי thee? I will lay H3926 למו upon H6310 פי׃ my mouth.

  19 H7230 ברב In the multitude H1697 דברים of words H3808 לא not H2308 יחדל there wanteth H6588 פשׁע sin: H2820 וחשׂך but he that refraineth H8193 שׂפתיו his lips H7919 משׂכיל׃ wise.

  32 H518 אם If H5034 נבלת thou hast done foolishly H5375 בהתנשׂא in lifting up thyself, H518 ואם or if H2161 זמות thou hast thought evil, H3027 יד thine hand H6310 לפה׃ upon thy mouth.

  6 H1692 תדבק cleave H3956 לשׁוני thee, let my tongue H2441 לחכי to the roof of my mouth; H518 אם If H3808 לא I do not H2142 אזכרכי remember H518 אם if H3808 לא not H5927 אעלה I prefer H853 את   H3389 ירושׁלם Jerusalem H5921 על above H7218 ראשׁ my chief H8057 שׂמחתי׃ joy.

  26 H3956 ולשׁונך And I will make thy tongue H1692 אדביק cleave H413 אל to H2441 חכך the roof of thy mouth, H481 ונאלמת that thou shalt be dumb, H3808 ולא and shalt not H1961 תהיה be H376 להם לאישׁ to them a reprover: H3198 מוכיח to them a reprover: H3588 כי for H1004 בית house. H4805 מרי a rebellious H1992 המה׃ they

  20 H518 אם If H3808 לא have not H1288 ברכוני blessed H2504 חלצו his loins H1488 ומגז with the fleece H3532 כבשׂי of my sheep; H2552 יתחמם׃ me, and he were warmed

  2 H7235 ברבות are in authority, H6662 צדיקים When the righteous H8055 ישׂמח rejoice: H5971 העם the people H4910 ובמשׁל beareth rule, H7563 רשׁע but when the wicked H584 יאנח mourn. H5971 עם׃ the people

  22 H3605 כל any H490 אלמנה widow, H3490 ויתום or fatherless child. H3808 לא Ye shall not H6031 תענון׃ afflict

  23 H518 אם If H6031 ענה thou afflict them in any wise, H6031 תענה   H853 אתו   H3588 כי and H518 אם   H6817 צעק they cry at all H6817 יצעק they cry at all H413 אלי unto H8085 שׁמע   H8085 אשׁמע   H6818 צעקתו׃ their cry;

  24 H2734 וחרה shall wax hot, H639 אפי And my wrath H2026 והרגתי and I will kill H853 אתכם   H2719 בחרב you with the sword; H1961 והיו shall be H802 נשׁיכם and your wives H490 אלמנות widows, H1121 ובניכם and your children H3490 יתמים׃ fatherless.

  18 H6213 עשׂה He doth execute H4941 משׁפט the judgment H3490 יתום of the fatherless H490 ואלמנה and widow, H157 ואהב and loveth H1616 גר the stranger, H5414 לתת in giving H3899 לו לחם him food H8071 ושׂמלה׃ and raiment.

  2 H3426 וישׁ For there were H834 אשׁר that H559 אמרים said, H1121 בנינו our sons, H1323 ובנתינו and our daughters, H587 אנחנו We, H7227 רבים many: H3947 ונקחה therefore we take up H1715 דגן corn H398 ונאכלה that we may eat, H2421 ונחיה׃ and live.

  3 H3426 וישׁ also there were H834 אשׁר that H559 אמרים said, H7704 שׂדתינו our lands, H3754 וכרמינו vineyards, H1004 ובתינו and houses, H587 אנחנו We H6148 ערבים have mortgaged H3947 ונקחה that we might buy H1715 דגן corn, H7458 ברעב׃ because of the dearth.

  4 H3426 וישׁ There were H834 אשׁר also that H559 אמרים said, H3867 לוינו We have borrowed H3701 כסף money H4060 למדת tribute, H4428 המלך for the king's H7704 שׂדתינו our lands H3754 וכרמינו׃ and vineyards.

  5 H6258 ועתה Yet now H1320 כבשׂר our flesh H251 אחינו of our brethren, H1320 בשׂרנו as the flesh H1121 כבניהם our children H1121 בנינו as their children: H2009 והנה and, lo, H587 אנחנו we H3533 כבשׁים bring into bondage H853 את   H1121 בנינו our sons H853 ואת   H1323 בנתינו and our daughters H5650 לעבדים to be servants, H3426 וישׁ are H1323 מבנתינו and of our daughters H3533 נכבשׁות brought unto bondage H369 ואין neither H410 לאל in our power H3027 ידנו in our power H7704 ושׂדתינו men have our lands H3754 וכרמינו and vineyards. H312 לאחרים׃ for other

  6 H2734 ויחר angry H3966 לי מאד And I was very H834 כאשׁר when H8085 שׁמעתי I heard H853 את   H2201 זעקתם their cry H853 ואת   H1697 הדברים words. H428 האלה׃ and these

  7 H4427 וימלך Then I consulted H3820 לבי myself, H5921 עלי with H7378 ואריבה and I rebuked H853 את   H2715 החרים the nobles, H853 ואת   H5461 הסגנים and the rulers, H559 ואמרה and said H5378 להם משׁא exact H376 אישׁ every one H251 באחיו of his brother. H859 אתם unto them, Ye H5383 נשׁאים   H5414 ואתן And I set H5921 עליהם against H6952 קהלה assembly H1419 גדולה׃ a great

  8 H559 ואמרה And I said H587 להם אנחנו unto them, We H7069 קנינו have redeemed H853 את   H251 אחינו our brethren H3064 היהודים the Jews, H4376 הנמכרים which were sold H1471 לגוים unto the heathen; H1767 כדי after our ability H1571 בנו וגם even H859 אתם and will ye H4376 תמכרו sell H853 את   H251 אחיכם your brethren? H4376 ונמכרו or shall they be sold H2790 לנו ויחרישׁו unto us? Then held they their peace, H3808 ולא nothing H4672 מצאו and found H1696 דבר׃  

  9 H559 ויאמר Also I said, H3808 לא It not H2896 טוב good H1697 הדבר good H834 אשׁר that H859 אתם ye H6213 עשׂים do: H3808 הלוא ought ye not H3374 ביראת in the fear H430 אלהינו of our God H1980 תלכו to walk H2781 מחרפת because of the reproach H1471 הגוים of the heathen H341 אויבינו׃ our enemies?

  10 H1571 וגם likewise, H589 אני I H251 אחי my brethren, H5288 ונערי and my servants, H5383 נשׁים might exact H3701 בהם כסף of them money H1715 ודגן and corn: H5800 נעזבה you, let us leave off H4994 נא I pray H853 את   H4855 המשׁא usury. H2088 הזה׃ this

  11 H7725 השׁיבו Restore, H4994 נא I pray H3117 להם כהיום you, to them, even this day, H7704 שׂדתיהם their lands, H3754 כרמיהם their vineyards, H2132 זיתיהם their oliveyards, H1004 ובתיהם and their houses, H3967 ומאת also the hundredth H3701 הכסף of the money, H1715 והדגן and of the corn, H8492 התירושׁ the wine, H3323 והיצהר and the oil, H834 אשׁר that H859 אתם ye H5383 נשׁים׃ exact

  12 H559 ויאמרו Then said H7725 נשׁיב they, We will restore H1992 ומהם   H3808 לא nothing H1245 נבקשׁ and will require H3651 כן them; so H6213 נעשׂה will we do H834 כאשׁר as H859 אתה thou H559 אומר sayest. H7121 ואקרא Then I called H853 את   H3548 הכהנים the priests, H7650 ואשׁביעם and took an oath H6213 לעשׂות of them, that they should do H1697 כדבר promise. H2088 הזה׃ according to this

  13 H1571 גם Also H2684 חצני my lap, H5287 נערתי I shook H559 ואמרה and said, H3602 ככה So H5287 ינער shake out H430 האלהים God H853 את   H3605 כל every H376 האישׁ man H834 אשׁר that H3808 לא not H6965 יקים performeth H853 את   H1697 הדבר promise, H2088 הזה this H1004 מביתו from his house, H3018 ומיגיעו and from his labor, H3602 וככה even thus H1961 יהיה be H5287 נעור he shaken out, H7386 ורק and emptied. H559 ויאמרו said, H3605 כל And all H6951 הקהל the congregation H543 אמן Amen, H1984 ויהללו and praised H853 את   H3069 יהוה   H6213 ויעשׂ did H5971 העם And the people H1697 כדבר promise. H2088 הזה׃ according to this

  5 H3808 הלא not H7451 רעתך thy wickedness H7227 רבה great? H369 ואין infinite? H7093 קץ infinite? H5771 לעונתיך׃ and thine iniquities

  6 H3588 כי For H2254 תחבל thou hast taken a pledge H251 אחיך from thy brother H2600 חנם for naught, H899 ובגדי of their clothing. H6174 ערומים the naked H6584 תפשׁיט׃ and stripped

  7 H3808 לא Thou hast not H4325 מים given water H5889 עיף to the weary H8248 תשׁקה to drink, H7456 ומרעב   H4513 תמנע and thou hast withheld H3899 לחם׃ bread

  8 H376 ואישׁ man, H2220 זרוע But the mighty H776 לו הארץ he had the earth; H5375 ונשׂוא and the honorable man H6440 פנים and the honorable man H3427 ישׁב׃ dwelt

  9 H490 אלמנות   H7971 שׁלחת   H7387 ריקם empty, H2220 וזרעות and the arms H3490 יתמים of the fatherless H1792 ידכא׃ have been broken.

  4 H5186 יטו They turn H34 אביונים the needy H1870 מדרך out of the way: H3162 יחד themselves together. H2244 חבאו hide H6035 עניי   H776 ארץ׃ of the earth

  17 H398 ואכל Or have eaten H6595 פתי my morsel H905 לבדי myself alone, H3808 ולא hath not H398 אכל eaten H3490 יתום and the fatherless H4480 ממנה׃ thereof;

  5 H1 אבי A father H3490 יתומים of the fatherless, H1781 ודין and a judge H490 אלמנות of the widows, H430 אלהים God H4583 במעון habitation. H6944 קדשׁו׃ in his holy

  12 H3588 כי For H5337 יציל he shall deliver H34 אביון the needy H7768 משׁוע when he crieth; H6041 ועני the poor H369 ואין also, and that hath no H5826 עזר׃ helper.

  2 H5704 עד   H4970 מתי   H8199 תשׁפטו will ye judge H5766 עול unjustly, H6440 ופני the persons H7563 רשׁעים of the wicked? H5375 תשׂאו and accept H5542 סלה׃ Selah.

  3 H8199 שׁפטו Defend H1800 דל the poor H3490 ויתום and fatherless: H6041 עני to the afflicted H7326 ורשׁ and needy. H6663 הצדיקו׃ do justice
